Sistas of Soul, Bridgerton and Roller Derby?! This Week's Events in Columbus

Juneteenth is here! We have a lot of Juneteenth events in Columbus, enough that I could’ve filled the entire event section with just those, so I’ve broken those out into a separate section below.

1. 🎤 Sistas of Soul

This is a high-energy, heart-filled tribute to the legendary voices of Etta James, Gladys Knight, Patti LaBelle, Roberta Flack, Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin and many more. None of these women need an introduction, so I won’t even try. Come out and enjoy some of the most memorable songs and voices of all time. Looks like there are still tickets left and they start at only $20.

2. 🌞 Standing Boy Summer Festival

This offers fun for the whole family, whether you’re a rider or not. Come enjoy guided group rides for all skill levels, bike demos, food trucks, Jump Jam and even free Johnny Pops!

3. 🛼 Muscogee Roller Girls

Did you know we had a Roller Derby team?! I didn’t until somebody reached out and let me know. If you’re looking for something different or a first-time experience, this is a great option! Don’t forget to wear GREEN to support the local team. There will be food trucks on site, and tickets are available in advance for just $10.

4. 🛍️ McGraw Village Market Days

Here’s another Summer market, and one you may not have heard about. Hosted by Mission Brewed Coffee, come try them along with Crumbles and Creme Donuts, Rainbow Dough and more.

5. 🎭 Sister Act – Riverside Theatre

Here’s another act that needs no introduction. The CSU Theatre Department is putting on this musical at their Riverside Theater. There are shows Friday and Saturday nights through June 28th, so you’ve got 4 chances left to catch it.

6. 🌸 Bridgerton‑esque Garden Party – The Wynn House

Here’s something you don’t get to do every day. Join the Wynn House for an evening of elegance as you immerse yourself in the world of Bridgerton. Dress in your best attire and come enjoy music, dancing and plenty of refreshments in a beautiful outdoor setting.
