Several Concert Series, Queen and Todd Packer Himself - This Week's Events in Columbus

September, 2025 Edition

The air is cool and football is back! Is it just me, or does everything just seem better when football is on TV? On a similar note, I don’t know what we did to deserve this cool weather lately, but I’m soaking it all up. There are a lot of outdoor events this week that will help you take advantage of the weather as well. Speaking of events, this may be the most packed week of events since I started this newsletter. I had to cut things that would’ve led the list in previous weeks! I can’t show them all here, but I will try my best to share the events that didn’t quite make the newsletter on the IG and FB pages. Make sure to follow those so you don’t miss anything.

Ready for this week’s events? Let’s get right to it!

If you are a local business owner and want to see it highlighted here at the top of the newsletter, simply reply to this email for more information.

For you readers, I’m here to help! Consider me your local Columbus concierge. If you’re looking for recommendations for anything, whether that’s a date-night restaurant, a real estate agent, a social club to join or new dentist, don’t hesitate to reach out. I’ve lived here my whole life and can definitely point you in the right direction.

Events

1. 🎶 Uptown’s Friday Night Concert Series

The Friday Night Concert Series is back! This Friday kicks off the return of the much-loved series and it continues through October. It’s totally free, but you will want to remember to bring your own chair. I highly recommend grabbing dinner at one of the great restaurants on Broadway, then walking over enjoy the live music afterwards. If you’ve never been before, this event gets crowded so you’ll want to get there a little early to have a decent spot for your seat.

2. 🧚 Fairy Fest

Calling all fairies, pirates, elves, and other woodland creatures to attend Fairy Fest, where creativity and nature meet! This creative event promises mythical magical nature fun for all ages with crafts, children's activities, costume contest for children, live animal encounters, story time, games & more! The costume contest for children will be held at noon, so make sure to dress up!

  • Location: Oxbow Meadows

  • Date: Saturday, September 6

  • Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

  • More Info: Fairy Fest

3. 🍻 The Office Trivia with Todd Packer

If you love The Office, you’re in for a treat with this one. Come test your knowledge of The Office with a trivia event hosted by none other than Todd Packer himself! His real name is David Koechner, but he probably won’t mind if you call him Todd for this event. There will be trivia prizes, he’ll share behind-the-scenes stories about the show, and at the end the top trivia teams will test their acting chops to be crowned champions! There will also be a Q&A, meet and greet and pictures with David. Heads up, you do need tickets and I’d recommend getting them in advance.

  • Location: The Loft

  • Date: Friday, September 5

  • Time: 7:00 PM, doors open at 6:00 PM

  • More Info: Office Trivia

4. 🎤 One Night of Queen

Who doesn’t love Queen??? Experience the magic of Queen’s music live with Gary Mullen & The Works in this world-class tribute concert that brings Freddie Mercury’s energy back to the stage. This event is one night only, so don’t miss your chance to see it.

5. 🎼 Concerts on the Green

Whether you miss the Friday night concert series, or enjoy it so much you don’t want to wait another week, Old Town has you covered with their Saturday Concerts on the Green. Every Saturday in September, there will be live music coming your way on that beautiful lawn right by the church in Old Town. This is hosted by Street Food Saturdays, so you know there will be good eats along with the good times!

6. 🪜 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb

Honor the 343 NY Fireman who lost their lives on September 11th, 2001 by participating in this moving stair climb event that pays tribute to fallen first responders. After the climb, head to Pour Decisions to wind down.

  • Location: Columbus Civic Center

  • Date: Saturday, September 6

  • Time: Check-in starts at 7:00 AM, climb starts after opening ceremony at 8:46 AM
