Oktoberfest, Linwood Ramble & a Dracula?! - This Week's Events in Columbus
October 16, 2025 Edition

Holy cow, folks. I’ve previously said certain weeks were loaded or really busy, but I had not yet seen what was coming. This week is insane. For the first time ever, I had to go to 7 events rather than 5 or 6. I added an entirely new section, and I still had to leave a ton of things out. There are so many Fall Festivals and Trunk-or-Treats this week that I did a quick-hitter style list rather than featuring those in the main section, but don’t be fooled, some of those on the list are big events!
With that out of the way, let’s get to the good stuff!

2 🎶 Linwood Ramble

Come and join the Historic Linwood Foundation for food, drinks, live music and a shared desire to recognize the history of Linwood Cemetery. This event is part of Culinary Columbus and promises to not only highlight history and heritage, but also tell you the stories of individuals resting at Linwood who helped to shape the Columbus culinary scene as it is today. Mingle with friends, enjoy great food and discover the lasting influence of those who came before.

3 🧛 Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors

The newest show at the Springer is a brand-new comedy that’s billed as a laugh-out-loud reimagining of the gothic classic. This is full of clever wordplay and over-the-top antics and gives you a great excuse to partake in some of the arts our city has to offer!
Location: Springer Opera House
Date: October 17–27, select dates only
Time: Showtimes vary
More Info: Dracula - A Comedy of Terrors
4 👻 Spooktacular 2025

Here’s an awesome family event in Lakebottom Park. Not only will there be candy and lots of fun activities, but stick around after dark for a glow party and family-friendly movie night with popcorn.
Location: Lakebottom Park, on17th between 18th and Cherokee
Date: Saturday, October 18
Time: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

5 🩰 MOMIX: Alice

If the title here is confusing, let me explain. Momix is an internationally-known company of dancer-illusionists. They promise to astonish you with nothing more than light, shadows, props and the human body. This one-night-only event is a perfect blend of illusion, acrobatics, magic and whimsy, all inspired by the classic Alice in Wonderland.
Location: RiverCenter for the Performing Arts
Date: Tuesday, October 21
Time: 7:30 PM
More Info: Momix: Alice
6 🎬 Uptown Screen on the Green

This is another first-ever event, hosted by Uptown Columbus. The TSYS Green Space will transform into an outdoor movie theater under the stars for a family-friendly showing of the classic Hocus Pocus. There will be food vendors, your favorite movie snacks, and a great Halloween atmosphere. Costumes are encouraged and blankets are recommended!
Location: TSYS Way
Date: Saturday, October 18
Time: 7:00 PM
More Info: Screen on the Green
7 🕸️ Halloween Fundraiser Gala

Yet another first-of-its-kind event, this is an elegant event focused on fundraising in a beautiful setting. Proceeds from this go towards Uptown Columbus’s revitalization efforts. This is an upscale event the ticket prices reflect that, but it does come with food, live entertainment and what is in my opinion the best event venue in Columbus. This is held at the Powerhouse, which is that elevated building overlooking the River right before the rapids. If you’ve ever walked the section of the River Walk between Hotel Indigo and the rock island, you’ve walked right past the Powerhouse and probably wanted to peek inside. I’ve been for a separate event and it’s an incredible space.
Location: The Powerhouse
Date: Thursday, October 16
Time: 6:30 PM – 10:00 PM
More Info: Halloween Gala
