Grammy Winners, Outdoor Movies and a BOO-k Fair? - This Week's Events in Columbus
October 23, 2025 Edition

I love this time of year! There’s just something about those first few crisp, chilly mornings and the anticipation of the upcoming holiday season. As I get older, I think I enjoy this part of the year every bit as much as the actual holidays. On the event side of things, it’s a massive music weekend in Columbus. We have some big time performers coming through, including a Grammy Winner and something like 40 combined #1 hits. There are also a seemingly unlimited number of outdoor events this week celebrating Halloween, so get outside, eat some candy and enjoy this beautiful weather.
Enough of the tease, let’s get to the good stuff!

Events
1.🌟 Denim and Diamonds

This is always one of the most anticipated music events of the year and 2025 will not disappoint! The main headliner has twenty-two #1 singles, has won a Grammy and has sold over 20 MILLION records. Come see Clint Black live in concert at an event benefitting Columbus Hospice. This event is one night only, so don’t miss your chance to see a legend.
Location: Columbus Civic Center
Date: Friday, Oct. 24
Time: 8:00 PM
More Info: Denim and Diamonds with Clint Black
2.🎤 A Night with Jeezy and 2Chainz

The Civic Center is going to have itself a weekend! If Clint Black isn’t your style, we may still have you covered. Here are two more icons from a different genre. Come see Jeezy and 2 Chainz up close and personal. This is guaranteed to be a powerhouse performance. Expect high energy, classic hits, and an unforgettable night of music.
Location: Columbus Civic Center
Date: Saturday, Oct. 25
Time: 8:00 PM
More Info: A Night with Jeezy and 2 Chainz
3.🎬 TWO Outdoor Movie Nights

I haven’t done this before, but it only felt right. We have not one, but TWO separate outdoor movie nights this weekend and I’m covering them both here. Synovus Park is hosting “Fuzzy’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Movie at the Ballpark” which will be playing Halloweentown, while Midland Commons’ “Halloween Movie Night” will be playing Transylvania 2. Fuzzy’s Movie Night is free to kids but adults must buy tickets. Midland Commons’ movie night is free for everybody. Both will have face painting and open seating, while Fuzzy’s Movie Night looks to have a few more activities. It looks to me like you can’t go wrong with either of these!
One thing to note is that the concert mentioned directly above is the same night as this, so expect the Synovus Park area to be very crowded and plan some extra time for traffic.
Location: Synovus Park and Midland Commons
Date: Saturday, Oct. 25
Time: 5:00 PM at Synovus Park, 6:30 PM at Midland Commons
More Info: Fuzzy’s Movie Night or Midland Commons Halloween
4.🕯️ Halloween Ball at Goetchius House

If you want something a little more upscale, how about a Halloween Ball? Step into the historic Goetchius House for a spooky, elegant evening complete with costumes, cocktails, and hauntingly good vibes. There will be a costume contest with real cash prizes, so make sure to dig deep for your best look. Tickets are $85 per person and do include food plus two drink vouchers. If you’re interested, you better grab yours now, because there are only a limited number of tickets available.
Location: The Goetchius House
Date: Saturday, Oct. 25
Time: 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM
5.📚 Adult BOO-k Fair

Ok I hear you. “Concerts are too loud”. “I’m too tired for night-time movies”. “I don’t have a costume”. Don’t worry, I still have you covered. Here’s a nice, indoor, mid-afternoon event that’ll still have you in the spirit of the season. A Halloween-themed book fair just for grown-ups! Columbus Bound Bookshop is partnering with Scofflaw Brewing to throw this event.
Location: Scofflaw Brewing Co. or Columbus Bound Bookshop
Date: Sunday, Oct. 26
Time: 2 PM - 4 PM
