Fall Markets, Tattoos, Polo and The Wiz?! - This Week's Events in Columbus

This is one of those weeks where Columbus has a little bit of EVERYTHING going on! Yes, there are the typical seasonal options and fall festivals (Napier’s Pumpkin Patch on the corner of Whitesville and Double Churches opens today), but we also have big theater shows, expos, and a sporting event you don’t see around here too often.
I’ll keep it short and sweet this week, let’s jump right in!

1. 🍔 Uptown’s Fall Food Truck Festival

The Fall Food Truck Festival is back! There will be food trucks of all types, a live DJ and family fun for all ages. Tickets are just $5, with kids 10 and under being free. This is the perfect way to kick off Fall.

2. 🎭 The Wiz at Springer Opera House

The Wiz, which is billed as a soulful retelling of The Wizard of Oz filled with dazzling music, dance, and energy, is coming to The Springer. It’s filled with familiar characters like the Tin Man, Scarecrow and Dorothy, but brought to life with a musical twist featuring rock, gospel and soul. The show runs from September 19th through September 28th

3. 🎨 Fountain City Tattoo Expo

Here’s one a lot of you may not have heard about. This is the Southeast’s premiere tattoo event. Taking place over 3 full days, you’ll find incredible tattoo artistry, live entertainment, contests, vendors, and unforgettable moments. Whether you’re getting tattooed yourself, shopping or just coming to enjoy the atmosphere, everybody can have fun.

4. 🐎 45th Annual Upatoi Polo Cup

Here’s an event going towards a good cause, with proceeds supporting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chattahoochee Valley. In addition to a polo match (starting at 1:00 PM), there will be a “Little Chef-Big Chef” brunch competition where local chefs team up with Club Kids, along with raffles and other entertainment. Check this one out and don’t forget to stomp some divots!

5. 🍂 Midland Commons & SFS Fall Market

Another Fall Festival pops up this week with the Midland Commons and Street Food Saturdays Fall Market. They’ll have “all the fall things”, along with local vendors, delicious food, live music, balloon animals, face painting, and even train rides. They’ll also have adult beverages for those that are interested. This event is FREE and family-friendly.
