Crawfish, Car Shows, and Music Everywhere
May 15, 2025 Edition

Good morning, Columbus! There are so many things going on this week that I’m going to try a slightly different format. We’ll start with top 5 events, then do a section on the big music acts we have this weekend, then I’ll end with a short list of all the kids activities that are going on.
Let’s jump right in!

Sponsored by The Seed Coffee & Cafe
If you haven’t tried the new coffee shop, The Seed, you’re really missing out. This new spot is at The Rapids right on the river, across the green space from Eighteen85 Rooftop. Aside from the great views of the river and RiverWalk just steps outside the front door, this spot is absolutely beautiful on the inside. Everything is meticulously selected and decorated. They have a variety of locally roasted coffees, energy drinks, matcha and teas, along with sandwiches, salads, and a delicious brunch menu. There’s something for everybody. If you’re a fan of sweeter items, I highly recommend the banana croissant. Swing by and give them a try!

1. 🦞The Plummer Home 3rd Annual Crawfish Boil

Who doesn’t love a good old-fashioned crawfish boil?! It's even better when it’s for a good cause. All proceeds from this event by the Plummer Home will go to benefit homeless veterans. They’ll have live music, beer, and plenty of crawfish.

2. 🚗 Car, Jeep & Motorcycle Show
Speaking of good causes, how about this event by Hope Harbour where 100% of the proceeds go to victims of domestic violence. If you’re a car, truck or motorcycle aficionado, this is the spot for you. Look at all those class types that will be on display! This show has it all: food trucks, door prizes, a 50/50 raffle, and over 75 trophies!

4. 🎬 Monday Movie Night: Field of Dreams

I might be dating myself a bit here, but Field of Dreams is one of my all time favorite movies. What better way to enjoy that than by watching it under the stars at Highside Market with their latest Movie Night at Daisy Park? Special bonus, you can meet Fuzzy, the Clingstones mascot, so make sure to bring the kids.
Location: Highside Market
Date: Monday, May 19, 6:00 PM
Cost: Free
5. 🛍️ Spring Market Arts & Craft Festival at Rocky Top

If you’re looking to branch out beyond Columbus for part of the day, head over to The Farm at Rocky Top on Saturday or Sunday for their Spring Market Arts & Craft Festival. Enjoy handmade goods, food vendors, kids’ activities, and a fun day of shopping in a great outdoor space. If you’ve never been to Rocky Top before, it’s a beautiful farm that does a lot of fun seasonal events.
Location: Rocky Top Farms
Date: Saturday and Sunday, May 18 and 19, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
