Boots on the River, a Rock Orchestra and Christmas Already?! - This Week's Events in Columbus
October 29, 2025 Edition

Halloween is here! Ok, technically it’s tomorrow, but Halloween week is here and that’s really what counts. There are too many trunk or treats, costume contests and other themed events this week to keep count, so I kept those in the “Halloween” section and limited it to a quick sampling of different themes. If you don’t see something you like, don’t hesitate to shoot me an email and I can help you find whatever you’re looking for. Make sure to dress warmly for any season activities you get into this week, they’re calling for temps to dip briefly into the 30s!
Enough weather talk, let’s get to the good stuff!

Come experience your favorite rock anthems like never before. The Rock Orchestra is a group of classical musicians playing amazing musical covers of some of the greatest rock hits of all time. We’re talking AC/DC, Guns n Roses, Metallica, Motorhead and newer artists as well. The entire performance is set against a breathtaking setting of hundreds of lit candles (thus the name). If you’re not quite sure what this is, here’s a video I found of a recent set in a much smaller venue than ours will be. Previous set.
